Robert C. Ware, Partner
Robert Ware is a recognized specialist in estate planning and probate matters. Bob graduated from Williams College with honors (1970) and received his law degree from Georgetown University (1973). Prior to 1993, Bob was in private practice in North Adams, Massachusetts. He also worked as a litigator for the Federal Communications Commission. Bob is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, Inc. Bob also is a founding member and former President of the Williamstown Film Festival and an active member of the Williamstown Rotary Club. Bob is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and Washington, D.C.




Elisabeth C. Goodman, Partner
Elisabeth C. Goodman has special expertise in land use, zoning and environmental law. Elisabeth graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Rutgers University, where she received B.A. degree with honors (1979). She earned a J.D. from the American University Washington College of Law, graduating magna cum laude (1983). For approximately ten years, she was the sole attorney in the Berkshire office of a small Boston law firm. Prior to that, she worked for the Massachusetts Highway Department and as Deputy Chief Counsel and Acting Chief Counsel for the Third Harbor Tunnel/Central Artery Project, one of the country's largest public works projects, in Boston, Massachusetts. She has served as a Visiting Lecturer at Williams College, having co-taught Environmental Planning there for several years. Elisabeth currently serves as President of the Greylock ABC, Inc., which is affiliated with the national program "A Better Chance" and is a past President of the Williamstown Chamber of Commerce. Elisabeth is admitted to practice in Massachusetts, New York, and Washington, D.C.




STAFF

Legal Secretary and Office Manager:
Eileen Meczywor functions as office manager and billing coordinator, as well as legal secretary for the firm. Eileen graduated from St. Joseph Regional High School in North Adams and graduated from St. Joseph's College in Bennington, Vermont (1973) with an Associates Degree. She has many years of experience as a legal secretary and has worked for Robert Ware and the firm since 2001.




Paralegal for Real Estate and Estate Planning:
Emily Hunt is our newest staff member. She joined our team in 2011 as a paralegal focusing on estate planning and real estate. Emily graduated from Mount Anthony Union High School in Bennington, Vermont. She received an Associates Degree from The Community College of Vermont (2007) and received President's List for her Paralegal Certificate at Mildred Elley in Pittsfield, Massachusetts (2011).
